Tangtang walked off the transport with a grin and a bamboo wreath, and it is somehow both an act and completely genuine. She is a 6★ Caster who fights with a Handcannon, the Supreme Chief of Qingbo Stockade, and the operator whose personnel file reads like a folk tale with an HR report stapled to it. This page pulls her real profile data out of the EndfieldDex character database and walks through what it means for building her, plus the story her records actually tell.
Tangtang at a glance
| Codename | Tangtang |
| Rarity | 6★ |
| Class | Caster |
| Element | Cryo (all four skill slots) |
| Weapon type | Handcannon |
| Starting weapon | Peco 5 (3★) |
| Affiliation | Qingbo Stockade |
| Faction | Endfield Industries |
| Race | Feline |
| Birthday | November 29 |
| Oripathy status | Positive (infected) |
| Voice actors | Jing Chen (EN/CN), Fairouz Ai (JP), Kim Chae-rin (KR) |
Two details stand out straight away. She is not a company operator who happens to come from somewhere else; she runs Endfield's Qingbo Stockade Liaison Office, a stockade chief who took a desk on an airship. And her diagnostic sheet is remarkably calm for an infected operator, which her file explains without ever quite explaining it.
A Cryo Caster with no split anywhere
All four of Tangtang's skill slots carry a single element. Her normal attack, Normal Skill, Combo Skill and Ultimate are each tagged Cryst, the game's internal name for Cryo. That makes her easier to read than an operator like Rossi, whose basic kit is physical while only her Ultimate turns elemental, or than someone like Ember who lives inside the Heat element outright.
The split does still show up in one place: her normal attack icon is the pistol icon, which is how the data says "Handcannon" without naming it. A Caster that shoots is not a contradiction in Endfield, it just means her ranged attack rides the Handcannon weapon class like anyone else's would.
Element tags come from the skill icons in the game data. Our database stores which element each skill slot carries, not its multiplier, so we can tell you the tag and nothing about the damage behind it.
What her attribute pair suggests
The game labels Tangtang's main attribute Corrosion Boost and her sub attribute Solidification Boost. Both read as offensive and survival modifiers rather than utility ones, which fits a chief built to be in the middle of a fight rather than babysitting one. Gear that leans into damage output and staying power is therefore a reasonable place to invest while you are still gearing up.
Treat that as a direction, not a stat sheet. Those two names are the labels the game's display tables give the slots, and our note is the same one we put on every operator page: we have not finished mapping each internal attribute id to a verified numeric label, so we publish the label and the direction, never a guessed number.
Which weapons can Tangtang use?
Handcannon, and as with every class it is a shared pool. Her default is Peco 5, the 3★ starter that every Handcannon operator begins with. Everything above it can be equipped by any Handcannon user, so the table below is the full Handcannon list in our database, sorted by rarity.
| Rarity | Weapon |
|---|---|
| 6★ | Artzy Tyrannical |
| 6★ | Brigand's Calling |
| 6★ | Clannibal |
| 6★ | Home Longing |
| 6★ | Navigator |
| 6★ | Wedge |
| 5★ | OBJ Velocitous |
| 5★ | Opus: The Living |
| 5★ | Rational Farewell |
| 4★ | Howling Guard |
| 4★ | Long Road |
| 3★ | Peco 5 |
Type and rarity only. Our weapon data does not carry per-weapon ATK, refinement levels or growth curves, so this page will not print damage numbers for them. For how weapon recipes and Arsenal issues work, see the weapons guide.
Only four operators in our roster carry a Handcannon: Tangtang, fellow Caster Wulfgard, Fluorite, and the Striker Yvonne. Two of the four, Tangtang and Yvonne, are Cryo, so if you are deciding where a good cannon goes, element overlap is worth weighing.
Signature weapon and gear: what we can and cannot say
People search for Tangtang's signature weapon, and our data simply does not have that field. The only weapon bound to an operator in our database is the default starter, which is why her page points at Peco 5 rather than a bespoke 6★ cannon. If a signature Handcannon exists in game, it is not in the data we extract.
There is a naming coincidence worth flagging, though. The gear set index holds a Qingbo set of eight pieces, named after the stockade Tangtang leads.
| Slot | Piece |
|---|---|
| Body | Qingbo Heavy Armor |
| Body | Qingbo Light Armor |
| Hands | Qingbo Gauntlets |
| Hands | Qingbo Gloves |
| Universal | Qingbo Bamboo Cutter |
| Universal | Qingbo Cask |
| Universal | Qingbo Positioning Kit |
| Universal | Qingbo Positioning Kit T1 |
Look at what the set says about itself, though. Every piece reads "Designed by Endfield after referencing wildland handcrafting techniques, and assembled by the AIC Factory." The set is Endfield's, not the Stockade's. It arrived in the [At the Wake of Spring] update, the version whose own preview opened on "the echoes of Qingbo Stockade's turmoil," which is the closest thing to a link between the set and the operator that the data offers. Our database does not tie gear sets to operators, so this page will not claim [Qingbo] is her personal set. For how slots, tiers and Artificing progress work, the gear sets and artificing guide has the full picture.
Who is Tangtang? The Supreme Chief of Qingbo Stockade
Tangtang is a member and the primary representative of Qingbo Stockade, and head of Endfield's liaison office to it. Her HR summary is refreshingly blunt about the mismatch: the division braced for a grieving or angry arrival after the Stockade incident, prepared psychological support, and got a bright smile instead. The note from Supervisor Perlica is the one that matters, and it says Tangtang rallied her scattered people after the crisis largely on charisma, with a resilient streak that made her worth the responsibility.
She is also, by every account in her file, impossible to keep contained. Her onboarding interview is recorded as an incident involving a slapped control panel, an offer to join the Stockade, and a demand to be called Chief. She made friends aboard Dijiang quickly, handed out Stockade-style nicknames, and once jammed a vending machine so thoroughly that Xaihi had to fish a "Tangtang Cert" out of the coin slot. Chen Qianyu put it best: Tangtang grew up by the water but behaves like an unquenchable flame, dampened by a storm and burning again moments later.
The eye: Originium Arts and the Yan records
Tangtang's Oripathy is the part of her file that carries real weight. She contracted it a decade ago during a conflict between Qingbo Stockade and the Tianshi of Wuling City, went untreated for ten years on folk remedies alone, and yet her Cell-Originium Assimilation rate and Blood Originium-Crystal Density are both described as remarkably well controlled. Her own explanation is that she is the River's Daughter and the water washes the sickness away. The physician's note shoots that down flat, as you would expect, then offers no alternative theory that actually holds.
The Tianshi's side of that decade survives as an audio log filed with her medication application. A Wuling official describes carrying Oripathy suppressants up to the Stockade, having the first attempt thrown back in his face with a shout of "we won't take handouts from Wuling people," and leaving the second delivery at the outskirts for the residents to find. He waits two days, the medicine disappears, and he sees a girl playing by the water. He is careful not to call it atonement.
Her infected eye is a separate mystery. Medical staff flagged the pattern inside it as too regular to be a random symptom and too unlike anything in the Stockade's own records, and traced it instead to her family history. A Tianshi specialising in Yan history eventually matched it to pattern descriptions in ancient documents, which legend says represent the evolution of heaven and earth and the inheritance of ancient knowledge. Tangtang, who has never had any such education, claims the mark simply appeared while she practised by the water. What the eye means is left unresolved, and so is where she came from: the HR conclusion is only that she was abandoned as an unweaned infant somewhere close to the Stockade, and the swaddling cloth she kept is the one asset anyone has. When she handed it over for testing she asked for it back.
The camera footage: how Tangtang met Chen Qianyu
One of her records is pure found footage, a battered camera the Stockade looted from the Wulingers, and it captures the first time Tangtang and Chen Qianyu met. Tangtang is tailing a girl practising swordplay near the Wuling border, planning to ambush her and take her gear, and finds a woman who has just cleared out a nest of splatters on her own. The two introduce themselves, Chen admits she is a Wulinger, Tangtang declares Wuling the only thing on her hate list, and then, in her own words, "your gunplay's pretty solid." That is the friendship, start to finish.
The footage keeps rolling into the present, where the same two operators review it together aboard Dijiang. It ends the way most Tangtang scenes end: she grabs the camera, sprints off shouting for Darkmask and Pale Scribe to come see Green Scales crying, Chen chases her around the Central Ring, and Mi Fu, the person the Stockade records simply call "that mad woman," catches both of them by the collar. Tangtang has a running grudge with Mi Fu that goes back to Wuling, and her file notes that she never worked out how she kept escaping it, before quietly revealing that Chen Qianyu was the one watching, and the one who got the video.
Tangtang's voice actors
| Language | Voice actor |
|---|---|
| English | Jing Chen |
| Chinese | Jing Chen |
| Japanese | Fairouz Ai |
| Korean | Kim Chae-rin |
You can browse the whole roster on our voice actor list. Tangtang shares an actor across English and Chinese, which is rare enough to be worth noting, and her lines match the file exactly. She introduces herself as your Supreme Chief, threatens to test new gear on "that mad woman," and on her own promotion complains that with one eye she cannot read that many reports.
When did Tangtang release?
Her debut banner was [River's Daughter], the Rate-UP 6★ Chartered Headhunting that ran with the [Old Deep Water Dies, by Rising Tide It is Denied] version in March 2026. The same event offered [Combat Drills] trials for her and a sign-in run that handed out [Gently Flows Qingbo HH Permit] tickets. She has stayed in the rotating 6★ pool since, showing up in the lineup for [Wolf Pearl], [Thunder of Renewal] and [At the Wake of Spring]. The Old Deep Water version guide covers that release, and the banner schedule tracks what is running now.
