Most lookups for this set are for one piece, the Wraps. So here is that answer before anything else: hands slot, 36 flat base, 55 to 71 on the first line, 37 to 48 on the second, 14.75% to 19.18% on the third, and it is crafted from a gear template that unlocks by itself once you reach Wuling.
The set around it is stranger than one glove. Nine pieces, three in every slot, all five-star, and every one of them wearable from level 60. Out of 243 gear pieces in the library, that makes AIC Fieldwork the only five-star set you can put on ten levels before the rest of the top tier; the other 143 five-star pieces all wait for level 70.
Starting early costs flat stats, and on a first read that looks like a downgrade. It is not, and the level ladder below settles it. Three of the nine pieces carry a spell damage line, nothing else in the set names a damage type at all, and no piece reproduces another piece's stats exactly.
Everything below comes from the equipment records and the three patch notes that mention the set. Where the files stop, I say so instead of guessing at a drop table.
Nine pieces, and the socket each one fills
- 9 pieces, all five-star, all wearable from level 60, all tagged to one set id.
- 3 body, 3 hands, 3 universal. Only two other sets split evenly across the three sockets: Grizzled Edge at six pieces and Xiranflow at three.
- 27 attribute lines, three on every piece without exception.
- 9 gear templates, one per piece. The pairing is exact, so no blueprint covers two pieces and no piece is missing one.
- 3 named bonuses, all of them spell damage. No fire, no cryo, no physical line anywhere in the set.
- No exact stat duplicates. None of the nine reproduces the full three-line signature of another piece in the library.
- Design credit: Endfield Industries and the AIC, in the same boilerplate sentence Hot Work uses. No studio gets a name here.
| Piece | Slot | Attribute lines | Named bonus |
|---|---|---|---|
| AIC Fieldwork Armor | Body | 3 | Spell damage |
| AIC Fieldwork Plate | Body | 3 | — |
| AIC Fieldwork Vest | Body | 3 | — |
| AIC Fieldwork Gloves | Hands | 3 | Spell damage |
| AIC Fieldwork Hands | Hands | 3 | — |
| AIC Fieldwork Wraps | Hands | 3 | — |
| AIC Fieldwork Machete | Universal | 3 | Spell damage |
| AIC Fieldwork Ember | Universal | 3 | — |
| AIC Fieldwork Flashlight | Universal | 3 | — |
Two details are worth flagging. The set has no T1 or T2 variants, which is unusual in a library where suffix siblings are everywhere. And the hand socket is three names deep, Gloves, Hands and Wraps, which is where a lot of the confusion about this set starts.
What each piece rolls
The flat base is fixed by slot: 48 on body, 36 on hands, 18 on universal. Each of the three lines underneath climbs an enhancement ladder, so the table gives the opening value and the value at the top of the ladder.
| Piece | Slot | Flat base | Line 1 | Line 2 | Line 3 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| AIC Fieldwork Armor | Body | 48 | 74 to 96 | 49 to 63 | 9.32% to 12.11% |
| AIC Fieldwork Plate | Body | 48 | 74 to 96 | 49 to 63 | 10.54% to 13.7% |
| AIC Fieldwork Vest | Body | 48 | 74 to 96 | 49 to 63 | 8.85% to 11.51% |
| AIC Fieldwork Gloves | Hands | 36 | 55 to 71 | 37 to 48 | 15.53% to 20.18% |
| AIC Fieldwork Hands | Hands | 36 | 55 to 71 | 37 to 48 | 17.56% to 22.83% |
| AIC Fieldwork Wraps | Hands | 36 | 55 to 71 | 37 to 48 | 14.75% to 19.18% |
| AIC Fieldwork Machete | Universal | 18 | 27 to 35 | 18 to 23 | 18.63% to 24.22% |
| AIC Fieldwork Ember | Universal | 18 | 27 to 35 | 18 to 23 | 21.07% to 27.39% |
| AIC Fieldwork Flashlight | Universal | 18 | 27 to 35 | 18 to 23 | 17.7% to 23.01% |
Run your eye down lines one and two in the body block: all three pieces open at 74 and 49. The hands block does the same at 55 and 37, and the universal block at 27 and 18. Inside a slot the frame is identical every time, and the only column that separates the three pieces is the third line.
One spell line, one Sub line, one unlabelled line per slot
The pattern repeats in all three sockets. Each one holds exactly one piece of each flavour:
- Spell damage: AIC Fieldwork Armor at 9.32% to 12.11%, AIC Fieldwork Gloves at 15.53% to 20.18%, AIC Fieldwork Machete at 18.63% to 24.22%.
- Labelled Sub in the files: AIC Fieldwork Vest at 8.85% to 11.51%, AIC Fieldwork Wraps at 14.75% to 19.18%, AIC Fieldwork Flashlight at 17.7% to 23.01%. These three also sit on their own modifier type, which is how you can pick them out of the raw records.
- No label at all: AIC Fieldwork Plate at 10.54% to 13.7%, AIC Fieldwork Hands at 17.56% to 22.83%, AIC Fieldwork Ember at 21.07% to 27.39%.
The third group needs a warning. The file's name table does map that attribute id to a physical damage bonus, but the same table labels the library's two most common first-line ids "Solidification Boost" and "Corrosion Boost", which cannot be right for a main stat. I quote the numbers and leave the name out, because printing it would put an unverified label on three pieces.
The universal slot also carries the biggest percentages and the body the smallest, in all three flavours. That is why a Machete reads higher than an Armor piece on paper, even though the two are the same design pointed at different sockets.
Why 48, 36 and 18 are the right numbers
Set AIC Fieldwork beside Hot Work and the flat stats look short: 48 against 56 on the body, 36 against 42 on the hands, 18 against 21 on the universal. Sort the whole library by rarity and wear level and the reason shows up.
| Rarity and wear level | Pieces | Body flat | Hands flat | Universal flat |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1★ Lv 10 | 4 | 8 | 6 | — |
| 2★ Lv 20 | 6 | 16 | 12 | 6 |
| 2★ Lv 28 | 14 | 22.4 | 16.8 | 8.4 |
| 3★ Lv 36 | 23 | 28.8 | 21.6 | 10.8 |
| 4★ Lv 50 | 44 | 40 | 30 | 15 |
| 5★ Lv 60 AIC Fieldwork | 9 | 48 | 36 | 18 |
| 5★ Lv 70 | 143 | 56 | 42 | 21 |
Each band in that table has a single flat value per slot, and the values only ever climb with level. AIC Fieldwork sits on the level-60 band, so 48, 36 and 18 are what a five-star piece is worth at that level rather than a cut-down version of the level-70 numbers.
The exchange rate is easy to state. You give up 8 flat on body, 6 on hands and 3 on universal, per piece, and you get to wear the set ten levels early. Nine pieces in the library can be worn at 60, and this set accounts for all nine.
Where the spell damage sits
Below is how the fifteen five-star sets compare on named rows, counting only rows the files label with something other than Main or Sub. Three of them name nothing at all: Grizzled Edge, Swordmancer, Eternal Xiranite.
| Set | Pieces | Named rows | Breakdown |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hot Work | 10 | 6 | Fire & Natural 5, All skill damage 1 |
| Bonekrusha | 14 | 4 | Cryst & Pulse 3, Fire & Natural 1 |
| AIC Fieldwork | 9 | 3 | Spell damage 3 |
| MI Security | 15 | 2 | Cryst & Pulse 1, Fire & Natural 1 |
| Frontiers | 14 | 2 | Cryst & Pulse 1, All skill damage 1 |
| Type 50 Yinglung | 11 | 2 | All skill damage 2 |
| Qingbo | 8 | 2 | Fire & Natural 1, All skill damage 1 |
| Tide Fall / Tide Surge | 4 | 2 | Cryst & Pulse 2 |
| Xiranflow | 3 | 2 | Cryst & Pulse 2 |
| LYNX | 11 | 1 | Damage taken 1 |
| Æthertech | 7 | 1 | All skill damage 1 |
| Pulser Labs | 5 | 1 | Cryst & Pulse 1 |
AIC Fieldwork is the only five-star set whose named rows are all spell damage, and it spreads them over a third of its pieces. Hot Work still wins the raw count with six rows across ten pieces, five of them fire and natural. If element typing is irrelevant to your team, three sets skip the question: AIC Fieldwork names spell damage, Type 50 Yinglung names all-skill damage twice, Æthertech names all-skill once.
Usual caveat for this site: the files hold no damage formula and no field that pairs gear with an operator. Everything above compares labels and numbers, and nothing more.
Gloves, Hands or Wraps
Three pieces fill the hand socket and only the third line changes between them.
- AIC Fieldwork Gloves is the spell damage option, 15.53% to 20.18%. This is the one that matches the set's named bonus.
- AIC Fieldwork Hands carries the unlabelled third line at 17.56% to 22.83%, the largest of the three. If that attribute is the damage stat the name table claims, this is the strongest hand piece here.
- AIC Fieldwork Wraps carries the Sub line at 14.75% to 19.18%, the smallest, in the modifier type the files give the Sub pieces.
All three roll the same flat 36 and the same 55 to 71 and 37 to 48 above it. There is no upgrade ladder in this socket and no T1 that quietly beats the base version, so the third line is the whole decision.
How the pieces reach you
The equipment records have no source field. Nothing says which enemy drops a piece, which merchant sells it or which crate holds it, so I am not going to invent a route. The patch notes are more useful than the data here:
- Every piece has its own gear template. AIC Fieldwork Wraps template is the one behind the Wraps, and its description is the standard line about the gear being craftable once the template is acquired.
- The July 16 note, the one that added the set, says that once your progress reaches the Wuling region, all corresponding gear templates for this set unlock automatically. That is the closest the official text comes to an acquisition answer, and the internal ids agree: the pieces sit under a
parts_wuling00prefix, where most sets use asuit_*prefix. - The same note introduces the Arsenal Defense Crate, described as containing a special set of fully artificed level-60 gear suited to the trial operator of the moment. AIC Fieldwork is the only five-star set in the library with a level-60 requirement, so the level lines up. The note never names the set inside the crate, so treat the match as a strong hint rather than confirmation.
The same piece, twice in the item index
Search an AIC Fieldwork piece on this site and two item pages can come back with the same name. The item library holds 27 records that mention a piece from this set: nine equipment entries, nine gear templates and nine entries whose ids end in preset_333, each named exactly like the equipment piece it shadows.
The preset records carry no stat data, only a name, a rarity, an icon and the same boilerplate description. They exist as separate item ids, so the item index lists them, but nothing in the equipment library points at them. For the numbers, the equipment page is the one that has them.
Three patch notes, no per-piece dates
- July 16, 2026 [Homecoming]: "Added Gear Sets [AIC Fieldwork] and [Rift Trekker]." The same note brings the Arsenal Defense Crate and the automatic template unlock at Wuling.
- September 2, 2026 [Dreamscape of Wind and Snow]: new gear pieces added to [AIC Fieldwork], [Tide Surge] and [Eternal Xiranite], alongside the new [Deep Rampart] set.
- October 15, 2026 [Sanctuary of Ink]: new gear pieces added to [Type 50 Yinglung], [Pulser Labs], [Eternal Xiranite], [Rift Trekker] and [AIC Fieldwork].
Two of those notes say pieces were added to the set rather than introducing it, so the nine you can wear today did not arrive in one batch. Which piece came when is not recorded anywhere I can read: the equipment records have no added-in-version field, and the notes work at set level.
Where the data stops
- No drop or purchase source. The template unlock at Wuling is the only official breadcrumb, and it names a region, not a location.
- No per-piece release dates. Three patch windows, nothing finer.
- No set bonus field. Whatever a two-piece or four-piece effect does in game is not in these files, and I would rather leave it blank than copy a number from a video.
- No operator mapping. "Spell damage" is a label on a row, not a recommendation.
- Attribute names are unreliable. The name table mixes two id spaces, which is why three of the nine third lines go unnamed above.
Is AIC Fieldwork a level 60 set?
Yes, and it is the only five-star set that is. The other 143 five-star pieces need level 70.
Is it weaker than Hot Work or MI Security?
Its flat stats are 8, 6 and 3 lower per slot, which is the level-60 band of the ladder, not a hidden penalty.
Which piece should I chase first?
The Machete for the biggest single spell number at 18.63% to 24.22%, or the Armor for the same bonus on the body slot.
Where do the pieces come from?
The templates unlock automatically when you reach Wuling, according to the July 16 note. The data has no drop table.
