Most Endfield gear searches arrive as a single item name. Someone types "Eternal Xiranite Bracing Slab T1" or "AIC Fieldwork Wraps" because that is what is sitting in their inventory, and the question behind the query is small: which set does this belong to, which slot does it fill, and is it the version worth building. Our gear table holds 243 pieces, so this page lays out the whole thing — three slots, five tiers, every five-star set with its pieces linked, and the ways gear actually enters your account.
The three slots
The game files label gear slots 0, 1 and 2. What lives in each one makes the split obvious enough:
| Slot | Pieces that sit in it | Entries |
|---|---|---|
| Slot 0 · body | Armor, light armor, heavy armor, cuirass, vest, jacket, poncho, overalls, plate, exoskeleton, exo-rig, protection suit | 73 |
| Slot 1 · hands | Gloves, gauntlets, wraps, fists, wristbands, hands PPE | 65 |
| Slot 2 · utility | Comms units, analyzers, flashlights, sensor chips, power cores, bracing slabs, filters, knives, probes, casks | 105 |
Slot 2 is the crowded one, because it collects everything that is neither armour nor handwear. A Frontiers Comm and a Qingbo Cask do unrelated jobs and still compete for the same slot.
What counts as a set
200 of the 243 pieces carry a set id. Grouped by that id they form 23 sets: MI Security is the largest at 15 pieces, and the smallest run to three, like Xiranflow. The other 43 pieces are standalone, and they are not all filler — the Basic and Miner starter gear sits in there, but so do Redeemer and Rift Trekker, which are plainly sets and simply were never tagged as one.
Set effects are why sets matter, though the wording of each effect is not stored in the tables we read. The only place it surfaces in the official notes is a bug fix from the March 12, 2026 patch notes: damage numbers were displaying abnormally when the Swordmancer gear set effect triggered.
Each piece description names its designer, and the manufacturer usually runs through a whole set. Hongshan Swordmancers designed Eternal Xiranite, Swordmancer, Type 50 Yinglung, Grizzled Edge and Xiranflow. MI Security is credited to Mieszko Industries, Frontiers to Northmarch Support Hub, LYNX to Rhodes Island, Æthertech to Portable Æthertech Labs, and the Bonekrusha, Qingbo and MSGR lines to Endfield itself, "after referencing wildland handcrafting techniques."
Tiers, rarity and wear level
Five tiers, and the tier number tracks rarity one for one:
| Tier in the data | Rarity | Pieces | Min wear level |
|---|---|---|---|
| T0 | 1★ | 4 | Lv 10 |
| T1 | 2★ | 20 | Lv 20 / 28 |
| T2 | 3★ | 23 | Lv 36 |
| T3 | 4★ | 44 | Lv 50 |
| T4 | 5★ | 152 | Lv 60 / 70 |
T1 is the one tier that spreads across two wear levels. Everything else has a single floor. Four sets also appear at two tiers at once — Mordvolt Insulation, Mordvolt Resistant, Roving MSGR and Armored MSGR each ship a T2 version and a T3 version, so "which Mordvolt Vest" is a real question.
Note the odd pair in the last row: of the 152 five-star pieces, 143 need Lv 70 and 9 need only Lv 60. Those 9 are the whole AIC Fieldwork set.
Every five-star set
All 152 five-star pieces belong to the 17 groups below, sorted by size. Each piece links to its own page with the raw stats.
Two notes on the grouping above. Redeemer and Rift Trekker have no set id in the files, so they make the list on the strength of their ids running in sequence and their names sharing a prefix. The Tide Fall / Tide Surge group has the opposite problem: four pieces share one id group and four different names, so there is no honest single label for it.
What the T1 and T2 suffixes mean
Inside a set, one slot is not one item. It is a small family. Eternal Xiranite covers the hands slot with four separate pieces: Gloves, Gloves T1, Wraps and Hands. Frontiers covers the body slot with five: Armor, Armor T1, Armor T2, Armor T3, and a Protection Suit that breaks the naming pattern entirely.
These are alternatives rather than a chain of upgrades. What separates them is which attribute modifiers they roll — put Frontiers Armor next to Frontiers Armor T1 on our equipment pages and the side stats are different numbers. The suffix tells you which variant you are holding. It does not tell you which one suits a given operator, and nothing in the data ranks them.
How gear gets into your inventory
- Gear Templates. Every piece has exactly one template item behind it: 243 templates for 243 pieces, matching id for id. The template is the unlock, and crafting the piece follows from it.
- The Arsenal Defense Crate. Operator trial events hand one out. The July 16, 2026 Homecoming notes say the crate contains "a special set of Fully Artificed Level 60 gear well-suited for the current trial operator", and that once your progress reaches the Wuling region, every Gear Template for that set unlocks automatically. A Lv 60 five-star set is exactly what AIC Fieldwork is, the only five-star group in our table with a Lv 60 floor.
- Xiranite, for the Wuling sets. The Beta Test II notes describe Xiranite as a Wuling material produced with the Forge of the Sky, used for regional exploration and for making Wuling-exclusive AIC facilities and operator gear. That covers the Hongshan Swordmancers designs, Eternal Xiranite and Swordmancer among them.
Artificing and gear plans
Gear stats are not fixed when a piece lands in your inventory. Artificing rerolls them, and since the January 17, 2026 developer notes the attempts accumulate: progress on a given stat is stored, and reaching the limit guarantees the next attempt on that stat works. A single attempt can still succeed outright, and feeding the screen pieces marked [Good Match] as material raises those odds.
Two conveniences are previewed rather than live. The August 22, 2026 DEV comm describes a Gear Plan feature for swapping whole gear configurations in one click, and an Auto-Artificer tab that assembles and consumes gear for you, returning materials it did not get through.
Where this data stops
Three limits explain most of what is missing from the pages above.
- Set effect text is not in the game tables we read. We have the set ids, the pieces and the slots, not the wording of the bonus or what it scales with.
- Attribute names are not mapped on the piece pages yet. Every piece carries one base attribute and between one and three modifiers (196 of the 243 carry three), and the pages show the values without labels.
- Our gear snapshot predates the September 2, 2026 update, which added the Deep Rampart set and new pieces to AIC Fieldwork, Tide Surge and Eternal Xiranite. None of that is in the tables above yet.
If you want the machine-readable version, the equipment index lists all 243 pieces by slot and rarity, and the gear sets page groups every tagged set in one screen.
Frequently asked
243 in our database, of which 200 belong to a tagged set, 152 are five-star, and 9 of the five-stars are the Lv 60 AIC Fieldwork set.
The unlock item behind a piece. There are 243 of them, one for every gear piece, and each has its own entry in our item list. Getting the template is what puts the piece within reach.
No. The Nexus devices are a separate inventory category: they sit in the Backpack personal device slot and handle Blight Miasma protection in the North Wuling Exclusion Zone. Xiranite Nexus XC-Ⅰ raises Blight Miasma Tolerance to 450 and XC-Ⅱ to 600. Gear pieces, including the Eternal Xiranite set, live in the three slots above.
Because they are two different variants of the same slot in the same set. Both exist, both can be crafted, and their modifier values differ.
For the snapshot in our tables, yes: 23 tagged set ids plus the untagged groups named in the table above. The September 2 update added Deep Rampart and more pieces, and we will fold those in when the data is refreshed.
