Tangtang comes back on Oct. 29, and the banner is not a Chartered one. [Ancestral Spring Flows Anew] is a RE-Factor headhunting banner, the category Gryphline introduced on Sept. 24 with Yvonne's [Resplendent Spectrum] rerun. RE-Factor brings something Chartered banners never had: a hard 6โ˜… pity at 80 pulls that follows you from banner to banner.

The window runs Oct. 29 at 12:00 to Nov. 19 at 11:59 server time. [Tender Sprig Issue] RE-Factor Issue #1 opens in the same window and reruns Brigand's Calling, the Handcannon she shipped with in March. Every number below is parsed from official text: the [Sanctuary of Ink] update notes for the dates and both pools, the Aug. 22 DEV Comm that defined the RE-Factor category, and the Sept. 23 banner notice for Yvonne's rerun. Nothing here is estimated.

Gryphline prints server time only. Every notice carries the same two offsets, UTC+8 for Asia and UTC-5 for the Americas and Europe servers, so a 12:00 open on Oct. 29 in Asia is 23:00 on Oct. 28 in the Americas, and the 11:59 close on Nov. 19 is the evening of Nov. 18 there.

RE-Factor against Chartered, field by field

Both banners draw from the same permit pool, and both promise a 5โ˜… within ten pulls. Past that point they diverge. The Chartered side is summarised in the headhunting guide; this table is the side-by-side.

Free 10ร— pullsDo not count toward pity or rewardsDo not count toward pity or rewards

The 80-pull 6โ˜… pity is shared across all RE-Factor banners. The 120-pull rate-up guarantee is tied to banners that share a name. Yvonne's September banner was [Resplendent Spectrum], which has nothing in common with [Ancestral Spring Flows Anew] except the word RE-Factor.

The 80-pull guarantee follows you into every RE-Factor banner

Official wording, Aug. 22, 2026, when the type was introduced: "A 6โ˜… operator is guaranteed within 80 headhunting attempts. This guarantee system is shared across all [RE-Factor Headhunting] banners. If you have not acquired a 6โ˜… operator, attempts toward this guarantee will carry over to other [RE-Factor Headhunting] banners. The attempts will reset once you acquire a 6โ˜… operator."

Three things follow from that sentence. The count is per pull and it resets the moment any 6โ˜… arrives, so hitting 80 only happens when your luck has been genuinely bad. It applies across every RE-Factor banner, which means pulls spent on Yvonne in September still count if no 6โ˜… ever dropped. And because the free 10ร— grants from milestones do not count, only the pulls you actually pay for move the number.

The practical consequence: 80 pulls buys you a 6โ˜…. It does not buy you Tangtang. Five other six-stars sit in the pool, and the pity fires on whichever one the game hands you.

The 120-pull guarantee does not travel between banner names

Official wording: "The Rate-UP 6โ˜… operator is guaranteed within the first 120 headhunting attempts. This guarantee can only trigger 1 time across all RE-Factor Headhunting banners of the same name."

This is the counter people misread. The 80-pull pity is global to the RE-Factor category. The 120-pull rate-up guarantee is not: it counts only inside banners of the same name, meaning [Ancestral Spring Flows Anew] #1, #2 and onward. It fires once across that series and the progress survives into the next one, so a partial run is not lost. What does not survive is a different series name.

If you spent 60 pulls on [Resplendent Spectrum] in September and walked away without Yvonne, you are not 60 pulls into Tangtang's guarantee. Those pulls helped only the shared 6โ˜… pity, and only if no 6โ˜… dropped at all.

Milestones at 30, 60, 90 and 240

6010 bonus Urgent Recruitment pulls (one free 10ร—)No
9010 bonus Urgent Recruitment pulls (one free 10ร—)No
240Tangtang's Token ร—1No

The RE-Factor ladder replaces the Chartered one. There is no Headhunting Dossier at 60 pulls here, because the rules never mention one; the three free 10ร— grants take its place. Those grants behave exactly like the Chartered version and are excluded from both the pity counters and the milestone totals.

Everything else about pulling is unchanged. Every pull still produces Arsenal Tickets (2000 for a 6โ˜…, 200 for a 5โ˜…, 20 for a 4โ˜…, spendable at Acquisition Center - Arsenal Exchange), plus AIC Quota, Bond Quota and Endpoint Quota, and the token at 240 pulls is Tangtang's own.

The exclusion of free pulls is printed, not inferred. Gryphline's wording: "The free 10ร— headhunting attempts given by Urgent Recruitment do not count toward the guarantee for this or other [RE-Factor Headhunting] banners."

Compare the two RE-Factor pools in the archive. Yvonne's [Resplendent Spectrum] ran Yvonne, Ember, Lifeng, Ardelia, Last Rite and Pogranichnik. Tangtang's runs Tangtang and the same five. Two banners, one pattern: the rate-up plus the five permanent residents, with no rotation slots. A Chartered pool runs eight by adding the two most recent rate-ups.

For anyone hunting a six-star who is not in that list, this pool is not the place. None of the five has ever headlined a Chartered banner, and Tangtang is the only rate-up on this one.

She debuted on Mar. 12, 2026 with the 1.1 update as the [River's Daughter] rate-up. The archive lists one more Chartered pool with her in it, [Wolf Pearl] on Mar. 28, as a rotation slot rather than the headliner. Chartered rate-ups exit the rotation after their own banner plus two more and never join Basic Headhunting, so October is her first banner since March. Her kit numbers are not in the data this site holds, so the build guide sticks to direction and weapon pool rather than multipliers: Tangtang build guide.

Her weapon type is Handcannon. That pool holds 12 weapons in this site's data (6 at 6โ˜…, 3 at 5โ˜…, 2 at 4โ˜…, 1 at 3โ˜…), and Brigand's Calling is the one the companion issue headlines.

Tender Sprig Issue: the weapon rerun

Each issue gives ten random weapons from the pool, with at least one 5โ˜… or better. On top of that, the RE-Factor Issue rules print two guarantees that the older Arsenal Issue notices do not:

ThresholdWhat you are guaranteedScope
4th consecutive issue with no 6โ˜…A 6โ˜… weaponThis banner only, no carry-over
8th issue without the rate-upBrigand's Calling, the rate-up 6โ˜…Once across same-name banners, carries

18 issuesBrigand's Calling ร—1Carries across same-name banners
Every 8 issues after 18Arms Offering Crate or the rate-up weapon, alternatingCarries across same-name banners

The 4th-issue 6โ˜… guarantee is deliberately narrow: it applies to this banner and does not carry anywhere. The 8th-issue rate-up guarantee is the opposite, firing once across same-name banners and carrying forward. Both are ceilings, not expectations.

Brigand's Calling headlined [Budding Anew Issue] in March 2026, opening alongside [River's Daughter]. The two March releases rerun together, which is the cleanest way to read this window: if you skipped 1.1 entirely, both halves of it are available again for three weeks.

How many pulls to budget

  • Tangtang, worst case: 120 pulls, and only if this banner series starts at zero for you.
  • Any 6โ˜…, worst case: 80 pulls, minus whatever you have already banked on other RE-Factor banners since your last 6โ˜….
  • The three free 10ร—: arrive at 30, 60 and 90 pulls. They add 30 pulls of value and move neither counter.
  • The milestone ladder: resets between series. Yvonne's 30/60/90 do not count toward Tangtang's.
  • The 240-pull token: also per series, so it is a target for a future #2 banner rather than something a three-week window delivers.

What the notices do not say

  • There is no standalone [Ancestral Spring Flows Anew] announcement in the archive yet, only the listing inside the version update notes. The two earlier banners both got their own notice the day before opening, so expect one here, and expect it to restate these numbers.
  • No base 6โ˜… rate is printed anywhere in the RE-Factor rules. The 80 and 120 figures are guarantees, not probabilities.
  • The update notes list no sign-in event and no Combat Drills trial for the rerun. They list both for [Rejuvenation], which is what a first-run banner gets.
  • The exchange value of Tangtang's Token is not published in these notices.

Is Tangtang's banner a Chartered banner? No. It is [Ancestral Spring Flows Anew] RE-Factor Headhunting #1.

Does my Chartered pity carry into it? No. The two systems are separate. Only RE-Factor counters carry, and only within their own rules.

Can I guarantee Tangtang in 80 pulls? No. 80 guarantees a 6โ˜… from the six-name pool. Tangtang herself is guaranteed at 120.

Do the free 10ร— pulls count? No. The notice excludes them from both the guarantee and the reward totals.
