On August 26, 2026, the official announcement confirmed a limited-time [Pioneer Test] ahead of Arknights: Endfield's launch on Steam. Recruitment opened the same day and runs through September 10, 2026 — if you want an early look at the Steam version, this is the window to apply. The playtest runs on the live servers with purchases enabled, no data wipe, and progress synced across platforms, so anything you do during the test carries into the full game. Steam is a brand-new platform for the game — it is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5 and mobile — and the Pioneer Test is an early chance for players to try the Steam build on the live servers.

How to sign up for the Pioneer Test

Sign-up is a simple survey, but access is not guaranteed — this is a limited-access playtest. The official process:

• Recruitment period: Aug. 26, 2026 at 12:00 – Sept. 10, 2026 at 13:00 (UTC+8).
• Apply: click the link in the official notice and complete the sign-up questionnaire: Pioneer Test survey.
• Selection: only a portion of Endministrators who complete the questionnaire will be selected. Submitting the application does not guarantee a slot.
• Notification: if you are selected, you will receive an official notification email with more details. If you don't receive one, assume you were not offered a slot.
• Updates: for recruitment results and test news, follow the official channels — the notice links the official Discord.

Two hard requirements from the notice: you must be of legal age in your country/region and meet the device requirements listed below. All information submitted must be accurate — the team says it will verify submissions, and mismatched information can lead to disqualification (or be treated as voluntary withdrawal). The notice also warns explicitly not to buy, sell, or share test access through unofficial channels, and to keep your account information safe. Because slots are limited, there is no benefit to waiting out the window — the announcement states plainly that submitting the application questionnaire does not guarantee a chance to participate.

Playtest rewards — and related official events

Participants who qualify for the rewards will receive them after the game officially launches on Steam (the exact launch date has not been announced yet). To qualify, log into the Steam version for 5 days during the test period:

• Oroberyl ×180 — the premium currency used for recruiting operators (per the item database: "an artificial material often used for recruiting operators").
• T-Creds ×16,000 — the common in-game currency ("recognized and used in many places").
• Elementary Cognitive Carrier ×15 — an operator EXP material used for leveling up Lv.61–90 operators.

For scale: the concurrent WhatsApp & Messenger event below hands out Oroberyl ×100 per game account, so the test's ×180 is a solid premium-currency pickup on top of your normal play. Keep in mind the rewards are tied to the Steam build specifically — the requirement is logging into the Steam version for 5 days, not the PC launcher or mobile.

• [WhatsApp & Messenger Subscription Event] (Aug. 10 at 13:00 – Sept. 9 at 23:59, UTC+8): send [Hello Delta Bot] to the official account on either app and choose [Subscribe] to earn an Oroberyl ×100 redemption code (once per game account).

System requirements

The official notice lists the PC requirements for the playtest build. Both tiers assume Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) and DirectX 11.1 or later:

• Minimum: Intel Core i5-9400F or equivalent · 16GB RAM · NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or equivalent.
• Recommended: Intel Core i7-10700K or equivalent or higher · 16GB or more of RAM · NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or equivalent or higher.
• Storage: 50GB or more free space, plus an additional 40GB required when extracting files. Installing on an SSD is recommended.

If your setup only meets the minimum line, the game may still run — but expect the smoother experience only at or above the recommended tier. Also note the playtest runs on the live game, so you'll need a Gryphline account with a character; progress and account data sync across all platforms during the test.

What to expect during the playtest

The official notice sets clear expectations so there are no surprises:

• Limited access, no data wipe. Only Endministrators with test access can participate, and the Steam version runs on the live servers — game content, account data, and progress are synced across all platforms, with no wipe.
• Purchases enabled. In-game purchases are active during the playtest.
• It's still being optimized. You may encounter bugs, client issues, or online service anomalies. Report them through in-game customer support or other official channels.
• Not final quality. All test content does not represent the quality of the official release — refer to the final live version.
