Forty-nine stage records in our database carry the category Factory. They are not fights. Each one is a construction job handed to you by the AIC Factory, and each record stores the job as a single sentence: what to build, what to connect, or what to produce before the next thing unlocks. Nobody searches for "factory stage 12", though. People search the name of a machine, land on a stage page that happens to be named after it, and still have to guess what the mission wanted. This page lists all 49 in one place, with the objective text intact.
Our facilities and power grid guide covers what each machine does and how the grid reaches it, and it stops short of the full mission list. That list is here.
What a Factory record actually contains
Three fields matter. The objective text, which is the only place the game explains a facility's rule in plain language. The dungeon id, every one of which starts dung_blackbox. And the domain id, which splits the set in two. Level and stamina both report 0 on all 49, the same empty value the records carry for every non-combat stage, so read those as fields the stage type never fills rather than as a free entry cost.
The category name is the file's label. The game and the patch notes call the system the AIC Factory: each of the four version update notes since June 2026 runs a section under AIC Factory for placement, blueprint and power changes. The notes also settle what these missions are for. The [Homecoming] notes say that when an AIC technology has a prerequisite mission, the Factory Plan now shows a jump button to it. That is the relationship in one sentence: these 49 jobs are the gates in front of the tech tree.
Two domains: 26 missions and 23
Twenty-six records sit in domain_1 and twenty-three in domain_2. The split follows the map rather than the tech tree. Every mission that names a Wuling-exclusive facility lands in domain_2: the three Forge of the Sky jobs, the Wuling plant line, the gas and fluid chains that feed them. The generic work, batteries, belts, medicine, sits in domain_1. One case proves the rule and it is the planting line: Planting Unit and Seed-Picking Unit is domain_1, while its sequel Planting Unit and Pipe Splitters, which grows Wuling plants in Fluid Mode, is domain_2.
Twenty-seven of the 49 mission names are exactly the name of a placeable item in our files, a facility or a logistics unit. The mission called Thermal Bank introduces the Thermal Bank. The other 22 are named after the product or the task instead, which is why a search for a machine name can land on a mission that only mentions it in passing.
How the seven lines break down
The grouping below is ours. The stage records carry no ordering field and no chain id, so this is a sort by what each objective asks for, not a claim about the order the game hands them out. It is the sort that makes the set readable: seven production lines instead of 49 separate sentences.
| Line | Missions | Domain | First mission in the line |
|---|---|---|---|
| Power, ore and the battery lines | 8 | 1, 2 | Material Production |
| Belts, buses and depot transfer | 8 | 1 | Logistics Connections |
| Pipes, fluids and conduits | 6 | 1, 2 | Pipes and Fluids |
| Gas handling | 5 | 2 | Gas Extractor |
| Processing, crucibles and materials | 12 | 1, 2 | Shredding Unit |
| Food, medicine and plants | 7 | 1, 2 | Filling Unit |
| Xiranite and the Forge of the Sky | 3 | 2 | Forge of the Sky |
Power, ore and the battery lines
| Mission | Dom | What the objective asks | Machine named |
|---|---|---|---|
| Material Production | 1 | The Relay Tower is down. Use the right facilities to produce materials for repairing it. | Relay Tower |
| Thermal Bank | 1 | Use Thermal Banks to raise the power grid output and restore operations to the AIC facilities. | Thermal Bank |
| Electric Mining Rig | 1 | Mine Amethyst Ore with Electric Mining Rigs, then process the Amethyst Ore into Amethyst Fiber. | Electric Mining Rig |
| Electric Mining Rig Mk II | 1 | Use Electric Mining Rigs Mk II to mine every mining spot of the area. | Electric Mining Rig Mk II |
| Hydro Mining Rig | 2 | Hydro Mining Rigs use water to mine, and do not need to be connected to the power grid to work. Mine some Cuprium Ore with Hydro Mining Rigs. | Hydro Mining Rig |
| Packaging Unit | 1 | Use the Packaging Unit to set up an automatic LC Valley Battery production line and charge the combat facilities. | Packaging Unit |
| SC Valley Battery | 1 | Use the Packaging Unit to set up an automatic SC Valley Battery production line. | Packaging Unit |
| Industrial Explosive | 1 | Produce Industrial Explosives, then use them to blast apart the rubble and rescue the trapped victims. | none |
This line holds the missions that introduce ore, power and batteries. Material Production hands you the problem before the tool: the Relay Tower is down and you have to produce the parts to fix it. Thermal Bank then introduces the grid budget, three mining missions introduce the two rig types, and the packaging jobs close the loop by turning ore into batteries. The two rigs differ in a way the text is explicit about: the Electric Mining Rig needs the grid, the Hydro Mining Rig uses water and does not.
The first battery mission is also the only objective in the set that says what the power is for: it asks you to charge the combat facilities. The other three power lines only mention the grid in order to escape it, as the gas extractor and the hydro rig do.
Belts, buses and depot transfer
| Mission | Dom | What the objective asks | Machine named |
|---|---|---|---|
| Logistics Connections | 1 | A batch of materials must be delivered to AIC facilities for processing and the products must be sent back to the Depot. Connect the current facility layout with transport belts to create a logistics line. | Transport Belt |
| Belt Integration | 1 | Use the Depot Bus, transport belts, and other logistic facilities to set up a complex production line. | Transport Belt |
| Depot Bus | 1 | The AIC Factory can now utilize the Depot Bus, a flexible and effective logistics facility. | Depot Bus Section |
| Depot Bus Integration | 1 | Use the Depot Bus and transport belts to set up a complex production line. | Depot Bus Section |
| Splitter | 1 | The number of production lines is limited by the number of output ports. The AIC Factory now has the Splitter to split a single output belt into 3. | Splitter |
| Converger | 1 | The AIC Factory can now utilize the Converger that converges product flows of multiple transport belts into a single belt. | Converger |
| Belt Bridge | 1 | The AIC Factory can now utilize the Belt Bridge that lets a transport belt span another. | Belt Bridge |
| Belt-free Transfer | 1 | You must move a batch of Originium Ore to the Depot. Complete the power grid and use the belt-free transfer of the Protocol Stash to transport the ore back to the depot. | Protocol Stash |
Eight missions, and they are the clearest example of a family that teaches by constraint. The Splitter splits one output belt into three. The Converger merges several belts into one. The Belt Bridge lets a belt span another belt. The second Depot Bus mission then asks you to combine all three into a single layout, and the last mission, Belt-free Transfer, removes belts from the problem entirely by routing ore through the Protocol Stash.
The logistics item entries put numbers on two of those rules. The Converger 'merges up to 3 transport belts into 1 single belt'. The Belt Bridge lets 2 belts intersect without obstructing each other, which is the reason it exists rather than a cosmetic detail. The Splitter entry only says it divides flow into "multiple" lines; the third belt in the count comes from the mission text, which names 3.
Pipes, fluids and conduits
| Mission | Dom | What the objective asks | Machine named |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pipes and Fluids | 2 | Use pipes, Fluid Pumps, and Fluid Supply Units to transport various fluids. | Fluid Supply Unit |
| Pipe Logistics | 2 | Use pipe logistics units to create a working pipeline and complete the complex production network. | none |
| Conduit | 2 | Conduits are underground pipes that can transport fluids without being affected by ground surface obstruction. Use conduits to bring Clean Water to the facility and start producing Cuprium. | none |
| Flow Rate Adjustment | 2 | Pipe Control Ports can now adjust the type and flow rate of materials flowing through pipelines. | Pipe Control Port |
| Item Control Port | 1 | Item Control Ports only allow the passage of a selected item, and can also control the quantity that is allowed to pass through. | Item Control Port |
| Sprinkler | 2 | Use pipes, Fluid Pumps, and Sprinklers to auto-irrigate the plots. | Sprinkler |
Fluids get their own vocabulary. Pipes, Fluid Pumps and Fluid Supply Units move liquid; Conduits are the underground version that ignores whatever sits on the surface, and the Conduit mission uses them to bring Clean Water in and start Cuprium production. Two control missions follow: the Pipe Control Port sets fluid type and flow rate, the Item Control Port sets which item passes a belt and how many.
The Sprinkler is the odd one out. It is filed with the fluid missions, but its job is irrigating crop plots, which is where the planting line picks up later.
Gas handling
| Mission | Dom | What the objective asks | Machine named |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gas Extractor | 2 | The Gas Extractor does not require power to work. It can extract Inergen and other gases from gas vents. | Gas Extractor |
| Gas Reactor Globe | 2 | The Gas Reactor Globe can be used to perform gas-phase reactions to yield certain products. | Gas Reactor Globe |
| Fluid-Gas Transmuting Unit | 2 | The Fluid-Gas Transmuting Unit is activated by a continuous input of Liquid Xiranite. An active transmuting unit can transmute fluid materials into gas, and vice versa. | Fluid-Gas Transmuting Unit |
| Solid-Gas Transmuting Unit | 2 | The Solid-Gas Transmuting Unit is activated by a continuous input of Xiragen. An active transmuting unit can transmute solids into gases and vice versa. | Solid-Gas Transmuting Unit |
| Gas Dispersing Unit | 2 | The Gas Dispersing Unit can continuously disperse gas into the vicinity and create a gaseous environment based on the gas dispersed. | Gas Dispersing Unit |
Five missions cover the gas system. The Gas Extractor needs no grid connection and pulls Inergen from gas vents, the Gas Reactor Globe runs gas-phase reactions, and the two transmuting units convert between states: Fluid-Gas runs on Liquid Xiranite, Solid-Gas runs on Xiragen. The Gas Dispersing Unit builds the gas environment itself rather than a product, which is what the Forge of the Sky line depends on much later.
Processing, crucibles and materials
| Mission | Dom | What the objective asks | Machine named |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shredding Unit | 1 | You must powder a batch of materials and transport the products back to the Depot. Connect the current facilities with transport belts to create a production line. | Shredding Unit |
| Grinding Unit | 1 | The AIC Factory can now utilize the Grinding Unit that uses Sandleaf Powder to grind materials into ultra-fine compressible particles for making higher quality medicine and gear. | Grinding Unit |
| Separating Unit | 2 | The Separating Unit can separate a filled container into the fluid content and the empty container. Use the Separating Unit to complete the Yazhen Syringe [C] production line. | Separating Unit |
| Purification Unit | 2 | The Purification Unit can purify solutions. Use the Purification Unit to complete the production line to purify Cuprium Solution into Hetonite Solution. | Purification Unit |
| Water Treatment Unit | 2 | In Fluid Mode, many facilities may create Sewage during production processes. A Water Treatment Unit will be needed to treat the Sewage. | Water Treatment Unit |
| Moulding Unit | 1 | Use the AIC Factory to create an automated Amethyst Bottle production line to supply containers for making Buck Capsules [C]. | Moulding Unit |
| Moulding Unit: Gas Mode | 2 | A Moulding Unit switched to Gas Mode can produce gas-related formulas. Use a Moulding Unit switched to Gas Mode to produce Cuprium Canisters, then use the Cuprium Canisters to produce Separator Cores. | Moulding Unit |
| Gearing Unit | 1 | Use the Gearing Unit to produce Amethyst Components. | Gearing Unit |
| Fitting Unit | 1 | The Zipline Tower is broken. Use the Fitting Unit to produce Amethyst Parts for repairing the facility. | Fitting Unit |
| Reactor Crucible | 2 | Reactor Crucibles can react solid material with fluids to create solutions. Add powdered plants and Clean Water into the Reactor Crucible to produce plant solutions. | Reactor Crucible |
| Reactor Expansion | 2 | Expand the Reactor Crucible cache to produce different solutions simultaneously. Improve the current production line to reduce the number of Reactor Crucibles needed. | Reactor Crucible |
| Expanded Crucible | 2 | The Advanced Crucible has more caches to carry out more reactions at the same time. | Expanded Crucible |
Twelve missions, the longest line, and the one where machines feed each other. Shredding powders material, Grinding takes Sandleaf Powder down to the particle size that higher-tier medicine and gear need, Separating splits a filled container back into fluid plus empty container, and Purification carries Cuprium Solution through to Hetonite Solution. Moulding appears twice: once for Amethyst Bottles on a belt, once in Gas Mode for Cuprium Canisters that feed Separator Cores.
The three crucible missions sit at the end and escalate the same machine. A Reactor Crucible reacts solid with fluid, Reactor Expansion asks you to produce several solutions at once, and Expanded Crucible introduces the Advanced Crucible with more caches. Read the three together, because the item files list Reactor Crucible and Expanded Crucible as separate machines with different cache counts, and the third objective is where that difference starts to matter.
Food, medicine and plants
| Mission | Dom | What the objective asks | Machine named |
|---|---|---|---|
| Filling Unit | 1 | Use the Filling Unit to set up auto-production lines for food and medicine. | Filling Unit |
| Improved Cannery | 1 | Use the AIC Factory to process Ferrium Ore. Use Ferrium Bottles to produce improved canned citromes. | none |
| Buck Capsule [A] | 1 | Upgrade the medicine production line with the Grinding Unit to produce the improved medicine: Buck Capsule [A]. | Grinding Unit |
| Filling Unit (Fluid) | 2 | Use pipes and Filling Unit Fluid Mode to transport fluids into the facility to produce Wuling food and medicine. | Filling Unit |
| Meds Production | 1 | Use the AIC Factory to create an automated Buckflower Powder production line. | none |
| Planting Unit and Seed-Picking Unit | 1 | Use the Planting Unit and Seed-Picking Unit to create a self-sufficient plant production loop. | Seed-Picking Unit |
| Planting Unit and Pipe Splitters | 2 | Planting Unit can use Fluid Mode to grow Wuling plants. You have limited Fluid Pumps. Use Pipe Splitters to supply Clean Water to multiple facilities. | Planting Unit |
Seven missions, split between the Filling Unit line and the planting loop. The Filling Unit starts both food and medicine automation, then each sequel adds a real constraint: Ferrium Bottles for better canned citromes, a Grinding Unit for Buck Capsule [A], and Fluid Mode for the Wuling recipes. Meds Production is the small one, a single Buckflower Powder line.
Planting gets two missions. The first asks for a self-sufficient loop with the Planting Unit and Seed-Picking Unit. The second hands you a limited number of Fluid Pumps and asks you to water several Wuling planters anyway, which is where Pipe Splitters stop being optional.
Xiranite and the Forge of the Sky
| Mission | Dom | What the objective asks | Machine named |
|---|---|---|---|
| Forge of the Sky | 2 | Forges of the Sky are Wuling-exclusive facilities that produce Xiranite. Use them to create a Xiranite production line. | Forge of the Sky |
| Heavy Xiranite | 2 | Clean Water and Xiranite can be used to produce Liquid Xiranite. This can undergo additional reaction steps to yield Heavy Xiranite. Use the Forge of the Sky to produce Heavy Xiranite. | Forge of the Sky |
| Streamlined Xiranite Production | 2 | A Forge of the Sky switched to Gas & Fluid Mode can be influenced by its gaseous environment. Create a Stable environment to complete a streamlined Xiranite production line. | Forge of the Sky |
Three missions, all in domain_2, all built on one facility. Forge of the Sky states plainly that forges are Wuling-exclusive and produce Xiranite. Heavy Xiranite layers the liquid step on top: Clean Water plus Xiranite gives Liquid Xiranite, which goes on to Heavy Xiranite. The third switches the forge to Gas & Fluid Mode and asks for a stable gaseous environment, which ties back to the Gas Dispersing Unit.
This is the shortest line and the most expensive one to stand up, because the fluid line and the gas line both have to be running before it can finish.
The machines no mission asks you to build
Our item files hold 44 basic facility records. Twenty of them are named inside an objective. Two more have a mission named after them but never appear in an objective text: Shredding Unit and Expanded Crucible. The remaining 22 are never mentioned at all, and the list is mostly farming: 14 crop plot records, the Refining Unit, the Electric Nexus, the Fluid Tank, the Gas Tank, the Depot Loader and Unloader, and the two Depot Bus parts. Crop plots are the clearest omission. The Planting Unit missions teach the loop that feeds them, and no mission ever asks you to place one.
The gap is wider for combat. Fourteen structures in the files carry a stat block instead of a description, starting with an ATK: line: gun towers, grenade towers, the beam and mortar lines, the sentry and surge towers. Not one of them is named in a Factory objective. If you want their numbers, they are in the facilities guide, because the mission text will never give them to you. The same is true of the eight ornamental items and the two Protocol Automation-Core records.
Where the records stop
Four things this page cannot tell you, because the files do not carry them. There is no reward field, so what a mission pays out is absent. There is no unlock condition, so which AIC technology each mission gates has to be read in game. There is no ordering, and the ids sort alphabetically rather than by progression, which is why the grouping above is described as ours. And there is no completion flag, so the records cannot tell you which missions you have already finished.
The objective text is quoted verbatim from the stage records, including the game's own wording for quantities and modes. Where a mission names a machine that also has an item page, the table links it. Five objectives name only a product or a category, so their machine cell says none: Industrial Explosive, Pipe Logistics, Conduit, Improved Cannery and Meds Production.
Because the stage type never fills those fields. All 49 records report 0 for both, and so does every other non-combat category in the stage table. Treat it as missing data, not a free run.
It is the label in the game files and in our stage table. Official notes run these changes under a section headed AIC Factory and never use the bare word Factory for the mode.
The records do not answer that. Material Production is the one whose objective text is framed as an opening problem, but the dependency order is set by the AIC tech tree, not by the stage table.
